Upcoming Publications
The Apparitions project is complete, and it is beautiful. I have entered the manuscript into some major competitions, and have a few publishers on deck that I will be approaching in the coming months. I have also been working on some old and new stories that incorporate supernatural elements into the broader exploration of anxiety and isolation. Additionally, I have been asked to contribute to and co-edit an anthology on the lives and experiences of children detained at the U.S.-Mexico border. I am currently experiencing tremendous growth as a writer and hope to continue writing and sharing traditional ghost stories while having the opportunity to offer more high-quality poetry, short fiction, and writing in other genres. Stay tuned.
This winter was otherwise quiet, and that's okay. I participated in the very cool Ghost Camp in the Dead of Winter event at the Old Baraboo Inn in Baraboo, Wisconsin, with a spooky storytelling session via Skype. In my pajamas. The Old Baraboo Inn was voted one of the ten most haunted restaurants in the country by Food Network. I had the pleasure of attending an event there in person in December and hope to make it back sometime this year! Season 2 and Season 3 of The R.I.P. Files are, as always, available on Amazon Prime Video. Season 2 is streaming, as always, on UKTV Play, and is now streaming on Pluto TV's Conspiracy Channel.
Upcoming Appearances
The Scary Stories documentary will become widely available on DVD and streaming services this year, hopefully in time for the summer release of Guillermo del Toro's Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark movie. I am also debuting a new presentation this spring, Snakes: Myth and Magic, which includes a meet and greet with my friendly snakes. So far, my other 2019 appearances include:
Behind the Scenes: The Real in Paranormal Reality Television Presentation at Spirits in the Spring 2019 at Lake Villa District Library in Lake Villa, Illinois
April 13, 2019
ReptileFest, Chicago (with my friendly snake ambassadors Sunshine, Moonlight, and Miles)
April 14, 2019
Snakes: Myth and Magic Presentation at Haunted Road Media ParaCon at Mineral Springs in Alton, Illinois (with Sunshine, Moonlight, and Miles)
June 1, 2019
Thank you all for continuing to share in this journey with me. Explore more, keep creating, and Happy Hauntings, everyone!
